thy light (BRA)

Thy Light is the Depressive Black Metal project of Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Paulo Bruno, recognized since the Suici.De.Pression (2007) demo as a defining voice of the genre. Musically, the project blends raw intensity with melancholic, almost cinematic melodies, characterized by haunting guitar leads, atmospheric synths, and anguished vocals creating a distinctive sound that is both harsh, emotional, and deeply immersive.

dödsrit (SWE)

Dödsrit emerged in 2017 from the bleak woods of Borlänge and the grim streets of Amsterdam, first as a solo project before evolving into a full band after Spirit Crusher (2018). Rooted in Black Metal yet reaching far beyond its boundaries, Dödsrit weaves storming riffs, atmospheric surges, and mournful, triumphant melodies into an emotional and visceral sound. Their latest album, Nocturnal Will, marks a powerful step further into their dark, intense, and cathartic sonic world.

Lamp of Murmuur, led by the enigmatic M., stands out in the underground for its unique blend of raw Black Metal ferocity and haunting, atmospheric romanticism. With its unmistakably personal songwriting and evocative, shadow-drenched riffs, the project carves a sound both rebellious and instantly recognizable cementing its place as one of the most distinctive voices in modern Black Metal.

ROPE SECT is a quartet crawling out of the Northern German woods that has started as a trio in 2017, combining catchy and memorable guitar riffs, straightforward rhythms and lulling vocals.
Their despair-wrenched sound has already caught a large crowd and built up a reputation in the underground, be it in post-punk, gothic or metal circles. Avoiding pigeonholing and pushing genre
boundaries, the band just refers to their music as “Rock ‘n’ Rope” with an underlying concept.
